THE ULTIMATE DODGING & BURNING ACTION IN PHOTOSHOP
Welcome to another video to help you get better at editing in Photoshop. With this photoshop tutorial I’m finally putting my Dodge & Burn action out there for download. In this video I use my Dodge & Burn Advanced action to give my image more pop and visual character and run through some basics on how to use Dodge and Burn to enhance your images. It’s one of the oldest techniques in photography pioneered in 1852 and it’s still

This is a basic dodge and burn action. One luminosity layer for dodging and another for burning. I have another more advanced dodging and burning action in my shop but I made this one for those of you who are new to using dodge and burn to edited your images. Dodge & Burn Advanced Photoshop Action
This preset is for the desktop version of Lightroom.
All sails are final. Digital files are easy to copy so I do not refund downloads. All files are tested multiple times before they are added to the shop to ensure that they work properly.
Here is the final edit. I ended up going back and using a little frequency separation to fill in the dark areas between the nose and the eyes to make the dark fade under the eye more angular.
