Hi! I’m Vasko Obscura, a photographer, videographer, and YouTuber with over 20 years experience behind the camera. These days I’m focused on growing my YouTube channel, which is at 20,000 subscribers and growing. I’m looking to freshen things up on the channel this year by taking my viewers behind the scenes on photoshoots. I’m looking for faces to photograph on this new video series while I film fun behind-the-scenes content for my videos. No modeling experience needed, just a love for being in front of the camera! You’ll get a set of great photos for your portfolio/socials and a feature in a YouTube video that will get some organic growth for your socials. Who I’m Looking For
I’m looking for models who want to collaborate with a professional photographer and walk away with some great photos for their portfolio/socials and a cool video they can share with friends. Whether you’re brand new to modeling or have experience, you’re welcome, I’m happy to guide you, help with posing, and make sure you feel confident throughout the shoot.
You don’t have to speak on camera unless you want to. Before we start, I always check in to see what you’re comfortable with: some people prefer staying behind the scenes, others enjoy being on camera and chatting with the audience during the shoot. Either way is totally fine. Just let me know what feels right for you, and I’ll work within your comfort level.
The most important thing is that you’re open to creating something fun and authentic together.
Your Social Media Content
If you have a specific concept or style you’re trying to build for your social media, feel free to share it with me. I’m happy to work your ideas into our photoshoot. I’m pretty flexible when it comes to themes and open to suggestions. If I’m shooting a review video about a particular light, the only requirement is that we use that light in the setup, everything else is a collaboration. My goal is for you to walk away with photos that fit your vision and provide something meaningful for your portfolio/socials as well.

I create videos where I talk about gear, share what I’ve learned over the years, and break down different techniques in a way that’s easy to follow. History
Hey hi, my name is Vasko Obscura. I'm a professional photographer with 20+ years in the industry. I am model trusted and agency approved. I do my best to provide a safe and professional environment for shoots. I don’t think I would have lasted this long in the industry if I didn’t. In the early 2000’s I worked in the glamour industry and had the pleasure of working with Playboy Playmate Tailor James, Penthouse Pet Jisel Lynn, MAXIM’s hottest woman in the world Charlie Riina and 6 time Playboy cover model Rachelle Wilde among many others. I’m not trying to flex, I’m just saying a photographer doesn't get those opportunities unless they are safe to work with.
I don’t shoot much glamour anymore. The glam magazine industry is dead and it’s not YouTube friendly so I focus more on creative portraits and creating fun photoshoots that I can turn into YouTube videos.

MAGAZINE SUBMISSION SHOOT POLICY
Unfortunately the glamour magazine industry has changed over the last few years and it’s hard to find magazines that will actually pay for content. Now with that being said, it’s still fun to shoot for publication and get some cool tearsheets to show off. I often work with magazines directly to produce content for publication. So if we do shoot content for publication there are a few things you should know.
After our shoot I will setup a proof gallery and shop the images around looking for a magazine to get them published in.
I understand that some models have an image to uphold and I can totally respect that. If requested I will allow you help me cull the submission collection down so that only content which is approved by both of us is submitted for publication.
I know this isn't a popular policy but I DO NOT give model(s) edited photos from the submission shoot until the photos are published. I know you don't want to wait but there is a reason for this. A lot of models can’t stop themselves from posting edited pictures online before the magazine publishes the photos. This of course makes the magazine mad and on top of that it makes me look bad. So as a policy I only give models their edited photos AFTER the magazine publishes the images.
Please understand that I do not have a say in when a magazine will choose to publish photos. It's usually within 3 to 4 months of submission, however, it can also be as long as a year. But don't despair, you will get the edited photos once they are published and a really cool tearsheet too.
Magazines usually want 6 to 8 edited photos for a submission. If the model(s) would like additional edited photos beyond those submitted for publication I can provide additional edited photos at $20 per additional edit.
If I can't find a magazine to publish the images i'll treat the shoot as if it was a TF shoot and give you 6 edited photos of your choice unless photos have already been edited.
Unless otherwise discussed with the model(s) the above policies will take affect for all magazine submission shoots.
