Canon FD 50mm f1.8 S.C. Chrome Nose
‘m just getting to know this lens and it’s characteristics. I’ll add more photos to the sample gallery as I shoot more shots.
So far what i’ve noticed is that this lens behaves a lot like the legendary Helios-44 58mm f2 in that wide open it’s sharp but as you move towards the edges of the frame the images gets progressively more blurry. On the positive it ads a lot of character and on the negative it makes using the rule of thirds for composition difficult. I’ll add more to this post as I shoot more with this lens.
