MIR-20M 20MM F3.5
Shooting at 20mm has a way of reshaping how you see a scene. The wide field of view pulls you into the environment, exaggerating foreground elements while stretching the background in a way that adds depth and scale. With the MIR-20M, that wide perspective feels especially expressive, lines aren’t perfectly corrected, and there’s a gentle distortion toward the edges that gives images a sense of motion and atmosphere rather than precision. It encourages you to get close, to place strong elements near the frame edges, and to let the scene breathe around them.
What really defines the look, though, is the character baked into the vintage glass itself. The slight softness wide open, the uneven sharpness from center to corner, and the way contrast rolls off all contribute to images that feel organic. Flare can bloom unexpectedly, highlights can glow a bit, and corners may darken just enough to naturally draw your eye inward. These imperfections aren’t flaws so much as fingerprints of a bygone era. On a high resolution modern mirrorless camera, those traits stand out even more, creating images that feel organic and full of personality.
